Go Crimson!

I am of the opinion that any graduate of Harvard or Yale should automatically be ineligible to hold public office.

If elected, Mitt Romney would be the 9th Harvard graduate to become President of the United States. Now I can cut John Adams and John Quincy Adams some slack given the lack of choices back then. I am willing to overlook Rutherford B. Hayes (most people do). Teddy Roosevelt, Glenn Beck’s opinion notwithstanding, I give “an incomplete.” However, starting with Franklin Roosevelt right through Barrack Obama, this country could have done much better.

I do not mean by electing the individuals who ran against them. Rather, we must insist on better choices. This election cycle, the people made it clear we did not approve of what was being force fed us by the RNC elite. We did not win the war. A Harvard graduate with no real core values, other than the accumulation of personal wealth and power, will certainly be the Republican candidate. He was preordained by the Harvard/Yale cabal. By the way, George W. Bush is a graduate of both schools of higher socialist learning. Still, we bloodied their noses. We fought back and they were surprised at our lack of appreciation for their wisdom and benevolent guidance.

Maybe someday we will put a person like Sarah Palin or Allen West in the oval office…people who are not alumni of (or welcome in) the hallowed halls of Harvard and Yale…people who put our country first and foremost.

For now, we must defeat Obama or the greatest country in the history of the world will be transformed into a second tier nation, at best. We are only one generation away from losing the freedoms so many have bled to secure and protect. Is this the generation that chooses government welfare over individual responsibility, soft tyranny over freedom? We shall see come November 6.

Mark Meckler et al?

As I look at the pictures on Drudge this morning, I thought how the cruise liner Costa Concordia listing and virtually on its side, perfectly symbolizes the sinking of the European economy. Socialism has failed. It is right there for all of us to see. Yet, the liberals/progressives here at home, currently led by the Obama Administration, are hell-bent on duplicating this fiasco. The Republican leadership is just as guilty. None of this, of course, would be possible without the complicity of the news media. The number of citizens who love this country far exceeds the number who wishes it harm. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people pay little attention to the finer details or the big picture. They base their opinions on TV sound bites and newspaper headlines. This allows for easy distortion and manipulation.

The arrest of Mark Meckler last December 15 at LaGuardia International was a lead story all across America. Mr. Meckler is co-founder of the Tea Party Patriots, the largest Tea Party organization. The news media along with both the Democrat and Republican leadership were salivating over this opportunity to strengthen their false representation of the Tea Party as right-wing radicals. They made maximum use of this opportunity. I am sure that nearly every potential voter read the headlines and/or saw the news clips on TV.

Meckler’s arrest and the windfall of media coverage that followed will have no impact on die-hards, Democrat or Republican. It very well could influence the opinions of some independent voters. It could also have a negative influence on Tea Party members who are, almost to a person, law abiding citizens. It is, after all, the tacit responsibility of the media to demoralize the conservative movement. This was never more evident than their pathetic attempt to compare the anarchist “Occupy” movement to the peaceful Tea Party movement. Most people aware of Meckler’s arrest will never learn the following:

Meckler was arrested after requesting a firearms declaration form from the ticket agent. There are signs posted at LaGuardia stating the right to check unloaded firearms in luggage.

Meckler had a valid concealed gun permit issued in California. The gun was unloaded and locked inside a TSA-approved travel case. The case was locked inside Meckler’s checked luggage.

What Meckler did was perfectly legal in most states. In fact, his actions did not even violate the laws of the state of New York. However, the City of New York is intensely anti-Second Amendment. Meckler was arrested and charged with felony possession of a firearm with intent to do harm. This ridiculous charge was reduced to “disorderly conduct” but significant harm was done to the Meckler family personally. The impact on the conservative movement in general, is yet to be determined.

There have been so many laws and regulations passed over the years that every American violates some of them by simply existing. Refuse to fill out your race on the census form, go to a public event and sing “Happy Birthday to You” (Time Warner copyright) and you may receive a subpoena for violating the law. Using a fake name on the internet can get you arrested and charged with the federal crime of hacking. The “Computer Fraud and Abuse Act” makes it a crime to gain unauthorized access to a web site. This is a third degree felony with imprisonment up to two years in most states. This is yet another well intended law (not all are) with unforeseen consequences. It is written in such vague language that many law abiding citizens have probably been in violation multiple times.

Those in power are free to arbitrarily choose who they will punish/ suppress and who gets a free pass. Like Mr. Meckler, I do not know all of the laws in New York. I confess, possessing only a general understanding of perhaps a dozen of the 725 new laws going into effect in my home state of California in 2011/ 2012. In Texas, Governor Perry signed 1,458 bills into law during 2011 (82nd Legislature) and that is a part time legislature! We can’t possibly know (nor are we supposed to know) what is in all these bills, be they federal, state or local. Our criminal justice system is broken. Excessive regulation allows for capricious enforcement.

The ruling elite, elected or otherwise, will continue to do all possible to control us. The Constitution is an obstacle they must work around. Barrack Obama stated in September 2001, that the Constitution has “deep flaws.” President Obama and those in power lament that the Constitution restricts the powers of government. It isn’t that these people are too stupid to understand that restricting government was the expressed intent of our Founders. It is that they do not wish to accept this fact.

It was Ben Franklin who, after signing the Declaration of Independence said, “We must all hang together or surely we will all hang separately.” On December 15, it was the Second Amendment under attack and Mark Meckler selected for punishment. Tomorrow it could be you.

Gingrich

I can hardly believe I am writing this but I am leaning toward Gingrich for President. I have reread the chapter RINOs and Chameleons in my book. I know Gingrich will always do what is in his own best interest. However, I have come to believe that what is in our Country’s best interest is, at least for the long-term foreseeable future, also in the best interest of Newt Gingrich.

I firmly believe that if we conservatives get behind Gingrich, he will clean Obama’s clock. That is the bottom line. Then, I am convinced that with a Republican House and Senate, Gingrich would recognize that we have an opening to return our country back to being the world’s dynamic leader, not just another borrower of Chinese money. He won’t want to let a legacy of restoring prosperity and individual freedom slip away from him.

The Republican elitist won’t be able to stonewall and intimidate Gingrich. He has been among their leadership too long for that. He knows where the skeletons are buried; he probably held the shovel on occasion. I like Bachmann and Cane but the corrupt news media would eat them alive, as they did with Palin.
Gingrich knows the game and has the strength and experience to overcome the malicious attacks by the socialist 4th Estate.
It is time to fight fire with fire. Given the power to do what needs to be done, Gingrich will transform from paclderm to American eagle. Let us expand our numbers in the House, take the Senate and put an experienced powerhouse in the White House.

DiCaprio’s Karma

Did you know that under hypocrisy in the dictionary is a picture of Leonardo DiCaprio? Given the competition for this coveted honor, that is a major accomplishment. To be fair, Al Gore was disqualified on a technicality having something to do with the Screen Actors Guild. Word on the street is that Di Caprio has a lock on the title “Hypocrite of His Generation” after the purchase of a Fisker Karma luxury EV.

Not being a member of Mensa brain trust, I had to Google “luxury EV.” It turns out to just mean luxury electric vehicle or (as Rush would say) for you folks in Rio Linda, an expensive car. Now, I have no problem with how the very wealthy spend their money. In fact, all I ask is that they spend it rather than horde it. However, there are a couple pesky problems with the Fisker Karma and DiCaprio’s purchase of one.

In 2010, the U. S. Department of Energy provided “green” automotive start-up Fisker a $529 million federal government loan guarantee. As the United States is broke, we had to borrow 40% of that money (roughly $212 million) from China. I doubt that China loaned us that money interest free. However, Vice President Joseph Biden heralded the DoE loan as a bright new path to thousands of American manufacturing jobs. Oops. This past week we tax payers were informed that the job of assembling the Fisker Karma has been outsourced to Finland. The car company’s founder claimed, “There was no contract manufacturer in the U. S. that could actually produce our vehicle.” Oh, really? Can anyone say “Solyndra”? This is one more incredibly stupid decision by our inept and overreaching government.

DiCaprio doesn’t just pay lip service at being a leftist, environmental wacko. He is an impassioned environmental campaigner who said about Barrack Obama being elected President, “I couldn’t be more proud of my county right now. I think the entire world was looking for a transition like this.”

In 2007, DiCaprio co-wrote, produced and narrated a feature propaganda documentary titled The 11th Hour. In this film, he makes the case that the world is on the brink because we have ignored nature’s warning signs and because our political and corporate leaders have ignored overwhelming scientific evidence. DiCaprio insist the United States “must transition to a greener future.” Okay. I could respectfully agree to disagree as long as DiCaprio included himself among those who had to “green” up.

Does Mr. DiCaprio walk the walk? According to Forbes, DiCaprio is worth about $220 million and was listed as # 15 on their “Celebrity 100 List” of most powerful people in entertainment. Yet, he owned a Toyota Prius hybrid. That was good for show. Unfortunately, this was exposed as sanctimony based on his infamous private jet, jet-setting life style. Surely he knows that air travel accounts for 2% of world emissions of carbon dioxide. Besides, his Prius is no more, turned in for the $100,000 Fisker Karma.

The official window sticker reportedly reads 52-mpg-equivalent in city and highway driving. Closer investigation, however, will disclose this includes 32 miles of all-electric range before the cars’ lithium-ion battery pack is drained. Then it only gets 20 mpg when the gasoline engine kicks in. So, we tax payers are out $529 million, go farther in debt to China, create jobs in Finland and add to the cool mystic of one Leonardo DiCaprio.

A word of caution Leo…Karma can be a bitch.

FOX Going Left

There has been a noticeable shift in Fox. I will stop short of saying I don’t believe in coincidence, but at the very least I am always very skeptical of it. It sure seems to me that the shift to the left came about the time rumors started about Glenn Beck leaving his top rated show. It has escalated over the past few weeks.

It is my opinion that Fox would be pleased with either Perry or Romney. Because these two are showing signs of weakness, Fox will do all possible to get Christie into the mix in order to marginalize the non-elitist (conservative) candidates.

Hannity is partly responsible for RINO John McCain being reelected in Arizona over the clear desires of the Tea Party Movement in that state. Fox usually provides Hannity’s “buddy” Bob Beckel a forum to spew his liberal nonsense twice daily. Even a true conservative, Judge Napolitano has been given the word from on high. Last week he introduced Charlie Rangel as, “my good friend.”

If it were not for the RNC and Karl Rove, we would have picked up two and perhaps three more Senate seats in 2010. Rove cost us 2 of the 3 by going on Fox touting how our candidates were unqualified and unelectable. We can thank Fox and Rove for Harry Reid still being in the Senate. Fox and Rove are at it again.

Shell Game

Rush Limbaugh and conservative talk show hosts all seemed surprised that the Obama Administration expedited Obama Care direct to the Supreme Court. They offered various explanations but none that resonated with me as the overriding basis for making such a decision. Here is my take on it.

With a Chicago organizer as POTUS, everything is a shell game. The administration entices us to watch the right hand while the left hand does the real magic. What could possibly be so important that Obama would want all of us to be focused on his health care take over and the Supreme Court? After all this is his signature legislation. The answer is net neutrality.

Obama Care, unless he can replace one constitutional conservative Justice with a liberal socialist, will be thrown out by the Supreme Court. Why not wait and hope for the worst with the health of a conservative Justice? His internal polling indicates another conservative tsunami in 2012. There is a strong possibility he will lose the Senate. Independent voters and even some Democrats are voicing opposition to his having a second term as President. Obama Care would become a footnote in history and his legacy tarnished. So, he must do all possible to reverse the nation’s awareness of his policies and actions (Fast & Furious, LightSquared, Solyndra, ad nauseam).

How can he stop the deluge of negative information that seems capable of consuming his administration? He already has the media in lock-step support. It is talk radio and above all the internet that shines the destructive light of truth on his socialist agenda. Occasionally, the stories they break so enrages his subjects that even the lame-stream media must reluctantly report on them. The ACORN sting videos are perhaps the best example but the list is voluminous. Now, there is even GBTV on the internet 10 hours a week. Drudge, Limbaugh, Hannity, this free flow of information must be curtailed and in time to impact the 2012 elections. What to do? Go back to the tried and true shell game.

Get everyone’s attention on Obama Care and the Supreme Court while his minions publish the net neutrality order under the disguised and purposely misleading name of “Open Internet.” Yes, they did it. They published it in the Federal Resister. The effective date of the new rule is November 20, 2011. Unless “We the People” rise up and DEMAND that Congress overturns this order, November 20 will be remembered by our future rulers with the same reverence most of us feel toward July 4th.

The vast majority of Americans, regardless of party affiliation, strongly oppose the government controlling the internet. Congress rejected the idea decisively. The courts rejected a power play by the FCC against Comcast several months ago. The D. C. Circuit Court of Appeals declared that the Commission overstepped the limits of its”ancillary authority.” All of that has just been irritating obstacles that Obama has had to work around.

I am calling on everyone, especially every Tea Party movement member and every member of the Patriot Action Network to give maximum effort at stopping this attempt to silence us. With respect to free speech, if we don’t stop “Open Internet,” it will not be the end of the beginning; it will be the beginning of the end.

Political Incest

The President of the United States, and many within his party, have openly declared that the American taxpayers who are fed up with excessive taxation, massive wasteful spending and a government intent on controlling every aspect of our lives, are enemies of the state.

After the 1992 trial that acquitted all four LA police officers in the brutal beating of Rodney King, riots broke out resulting in at least 55 people being killed and a billion dollars in property damage. Mr. King went before TV cameras and gave a passionate plea for the violence to end. He said, “Can we get along? We can all get along. Let’s try to work it out.” Well, let’s see how well this is working out by reviewing some recent Democrat/socialist rhetoric.

“The real enemy is the Tea Party – let’s remember that.” Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL)

“As far as I’m concerned – the Tea Party can go straight to hell.” and “We have to stand up and fight. It’s fight time…we’re not afraid of the Tea Party.” Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA)

“We took names. We watched how they voted. We know where they live.”
Obama confidant and former SEIU President, Andy Stern

“Everybody here’s got a vote. Let’s take these sonofbitches out.” Jimmy Hoffa Jr. Teamster President at an Obama campaign rally.

“We’re going to punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends…” Remarks to a Latino audience by President Barrack Obama.

Just a couple days ago, 72-year old Oscar winning actor Morgan Freeman had this to say: The Tea Party Movement “just shows the weak, dark, underside of America.”

I don’t know about the rest of my Tea Party Movement brothers and sisters, but I am sick and tired of turning the other cheek in the name of civility. What morons within the RNC thought it a good idea to have a Republican debate with MSNBC as the moderators? Even with FOX as moderators, all the questions are aimed at pitting the Republican candidates against one another and avoiding exposure of the Obama administration and their record of economic destruction and class warfare.

Did anyone else get ticked off at John Boehner for attending and speaking at the House Ways and Means Committee ceremony unveiling Charlie Rangel’s official portrait? This came less than one year after Rangel (D-NY) was found guilty on 11 counts of ethics violations! The portrait cost an estimated $65,000. The news media claims this is a non-issue as it was paid out of Rangel’s “campaign cash.” Really? Is that the same as “Obama stash?”

Speaking of Speaker Boehner and my being ticked off at his attitude of appeasement, the golf summit with him, Obama, John Kasich and Joe Biden last summer did nothing but provide the Obama Administration with cover for their actions. This leaky eyed elitist RINO irritates me to no end. Man-up!

Let’s get back to Mr. Freeman. America has been VERY good to him. He is a superb actor and up until his comments last week, I supported his career with my feeble and ever shrinking discretionary income. I have probably paid to see almost every movie in which he has been featured. Never again. Oh, and I read something this morning that gave me insight as to Mr. Freeman’s views on life. He is of the Woody Allen School on family relationships. It has been reported that Mr. Freedman has had a 10-year “relationship” with his step-granddaughter, now 27 years old. Rumors have it that the woman believes that Freedman will marry her. Very progressive of him but perhaps he should withhold his lectures on the Tea Party Movement until…forever.

Incidentally, Mr. King, who was awarded $3.8 million in damages, was engaged in 2010 to one of the jurors who awarded the settlement. She reportedly claimed they first felt a “romantic spark” the day after the 1994 controversial jury award while at a pizza restaurant in Newport Beach, California. Isn’t that sweet? At least they are not related.

Sadly, Mr. King, we cannot all just get along. There are many individuals in positions of power that are dedicated to the redistribution of wealth and the destruction of this great country. These parasites will not stop until they have destroyed their host or We the People have neutralized them. They call us “enemy.” I accept this characterization with pride! Bring it on.

Perry or Thrust

In 2008, the leftist media and the elitist establishment picked McCain as the Republican opponent to Obama. They wanted someone at least somewhat left of center and a candidate who would not energize the conservative base. It is called hedging your bet. If their guy didn’t win, they at least wanted someone who was aligned with most of their agenda. Win big or win a little but win either way. After all, for the good of mankind, the ruling class must maintain control of the masses.

The problem for the establishment this time around is that We the People no longer blindly accept what the bias media is trying to force feed us. They made a critical tactical error when they attacked the Tea Party Movement. They called us terrorists, Nazis and racists. They picked out the one sign in a thousand that fit their narrative and focused on it. They never even tried to determine if the person holding the sign was a plant by those seeking to discredit the Tea Party. The goal of the media was to dishearten and discourage the people’s grassroots movement. This tried and true tactic not only failed, it backfired. Rather than extinguish the fire in our bellies, it was a catalysis that bound us together.

This time around the ruling class is having a far more difficult time anointing their “opponent.” At first it was Romney that was the only one who stood a chance to beat Obama. However, when conservatives were underwhelmed (little problem with Massachusetts mandatory health care), they unveiled for all to see and be enamored by…Rick Perry.

Is this blog post an attack on Perry? No. I think he might well make as good a President as Bill Clinton, Bush 41 and/or Bush 43. Under no circumstance would he continue the policies of Obama that are literally destroying the U.S. economy and putting our country in grave danger. Whomever we select to oppose Obama must win. All I am saying is that this time, we must choose our candidate and not have that person thrust upon us. Perry is not a Ronald Reagan. Goggle Perry. Do your homework on him before making a decision or a donation. Look carefully at what he has done over the past several years. Whenever possible we must judge politicians by what they have done, not what they say they will do.

The leftist media and the DC ruling class will actually tell us who they want to run against. Remember how McCain was the media darling (Maverick John McCain)? Use common sense and logic. If the media plays someone up as our best hope of defeating Obama, ask yourself this question. Would a football manager tell the opposition how best to defeat his own team?

Consider how the news media hid the actions of John Edwards. Reflect on how they refused to vet Obama while sending hordes of “journalist” to turn over every rock in Alaska looking for dirt on Palin. I suggest we give serious consideration to those the media despises. The more the media vilifies a candidate, the more closely we should evaluate that person for consideration.

We Are the Center

One of the media tricks used to drive their progressive agenda is to always portray the Tea Party as either the Right or the Far Right. Some do this with malicious intent, others out of ignorance. Regardless, the premise is fallacious. We in the Tea Party movement must change this paradigm.

Today we watch the UK, France, Greece, Spain and others unravel. Yet, our corrupt media continues to enable U.S. liberal politicians in pushing our country toward European socialism. MSNBC is hopeless. ABC, CBS and NBC are only slightly better. Fox talks a lot about fair and balanced and sometimes they are. However, all media base their reporting on the Tea Party Movement with the same erroneous bias. The media wants everyone to just accept that Nancy Pelosi is the left of center, John McCain is the center and the Tea Party is the right of center.
The Tea Party Movement is not the Right! Ron Paul is the Right; Timothy McVeigh is the Far Right. Nancy Pelosi is the Left; Bill Ayres is the Far Left. We, the Tea Party, are the center.
